Monday, February 28, 2005![]() Whew! Original Gerbera iPod Covers are up in the shop! Check them out and let me know what you think! Sunday, February 20, 2005
One of my birthday gifts were two beautiful Fan-Tail Goldfish. I had seen a picture of two goldfish in a little dessert dish on a kitchen counter top. In theory, it's a really cute idea but in actuality, our poor little fishies couldn't move anywhere.

So we upgraded! ![]() Jimbo took this picture before we got the new tank...poor little fishies! ![]() And while I'm at it... ![]() Sweet, silly little cat! I'm sending in my March Sampler Contribution today! I really wish I was more prompt with these things but between Gerbera, school and taking naps...well, I'm just hoping they get there in time! I made little strawberry pin cushions and Animal Love adjustable bracelets/necklaces. I hope people like them! EDIT: I'm just now realizing how much more appropriate these would have been for February's contribution but oh well!

![]() ![]() I am so amazed by the amazing artists we have in our community. So many people doing things that I never would have thought of and doing them damn well! Example: I received a sample of 4 Square's Modern Fireworks necklace and I'm absolutely in love with it! It's a simple idea that has been perfected wonderfully! Yay Crafty Indie Business People! Happy Valentine's Day everyone!!! Any fun romantic plans? Jim and I are going to spend a nice, quite evening at home, cooking for each other and probably end up watching Star Trek. Sounds like a perfect night to two Trek nerds!

So, I'm making a website for our friends' wedding and I got a lot of it done yesterday except for the RSVP form. I can't seem to figure out the CGI scripting. Anybody have a good tutorial website? In honor of Valentine's Day, how about moving on to something a bit more fun... like a Crafty Devil Project: ![]() Let your Valentine know you're bloomin' crazy for him! Flower Lips Materials: · Pink Construction Paper · Water · Mixing Bowl · Hand mixer (no blenders-you might hurt the seeds!) · Paper towels or Screen · Scissors · Flower seeds . Candy Lip Mold Instructions: 1. Tear pink paper into small squares (approx. 1 in.) and place in mixing bowl. Add water until paper shreds are covered. 2. Blend or mix for about 30 seconds, until you have made a paper pulp. 3. Add the flower seeds to the paper pulp. 4. Gently press pulp onto toweling or screens to somewhat dry. 5. Push pulp into lip mold and then pop out onto a towel. Allow them to dry completely. 6. Give instructions to plant the lips in the ground and water! Friday, February 11, 2005
Whew, we were having all sorts of crazy domain problems over here. All of which, I am happy to say, are finally resolved! The good side is that I finally got my butt over to my LiveJournal account and played around with it. I was thinking I'd probably post the same things on both accounts but it's easier for some to go through LJ.

This week's Illustration Friday was "The Year of the Rooster." Roosters always seemed snooty and mean to me. Guess that's why I drew him the way I did! (just in case you didn't know, last year was The Year of the Monkey) ![]() What a mean rooster! Wednesday, February 09, 2005
Wow, so much to talk about!

1. Our wood floors are pretty much put in and they improve the house ten fold! They still need to come in and put all the metal connection bars but...wow.
2. I had The Big 2-7 on Monday. Jim and I spent the day holding hands while looking at furniture. Kinda funny way to spend a birthday but I loved it! We seem to be on a huge home improvement kick. Didn't find any side tables but did find this amazing old "converters" sign. We don't know where to hang it yet but we're sure it'll find the perfect wall in our house. I love old signs!
3. Decided to throw a bit of a Karaoke Party on Sat. Had a few friends over, sang a bit..laughed a lot! Hah, the pictures crack me up! In case you're wondering, everyone one was singing along to "I Believe I Can Fly" in the first picture.
Overall, it was a fabulous birthday! Friday, February 04, 2005Topic: Friendship
