Friday, February 17, 2006![]() A couple months ago my Mom and I decided to check out At The Clayground, a new ceramic painting place on the westside. The kind of place where you pick out your piece, paint it and they fire and glaze it for you to pick up later. My mother wasn't surprised when I turned the cupcake around to show her the little smiley face I had added. There was a soft-serve cone that I wanted to do buy too but when I went back a couple weeks ago, they were all gone. :0( _________________________ So, I'm on a bit of a tea kick right now. If you remember a few posts ago, I had bought some loose tea as well as two strainers from Herb and Ginger and well, that just opened the flood gate to all sorts of yummy teas. I was pleasently surprised to find some organic Wuyi Oolong and Jamaica Red Bush at The Brown Recluse (a small coffee shop in Marfa) on Tuesday. I don't have a website for their tea but their Big Bend Coffee has quite the following. _________________________ QUILT UPDATE: sewed all the panels together yesterday and assembled the quilt only to find that none of the sides were the same length and it didn't lay flat, grr. Going to have to take in the seams a bit more in order to make it a perfect square. It's now laying out on the pool table because I don't even want to look at that stupid thing.
