Decided to use up some of the jewelry supplies I had laying around and this is what I came up with. It was quite easy to make, just a few stones wrapped on wire and attached to chain but I like how sweet and simple it looks. I'm sure a real jewelry maker would laugh at my technique!

I bought a new pair of Converse yesterday. I wore them all the time in high school and college but took a long hiatus between then and now. I think the next pair of shoes I buy will be some mohop low heels. Genius, absolutely genius. Maybe I'll wait until I'm in Chicago for Renegade. Wow, it's already going to be June.

After finding the recipe on Coconut & Lime, I was super excited to try these cupcakes out for our International Beer Cookout that we had on Sat. My friend, Pati, and I are huge Pineapple Upside Down Cake fans (her Mom makes the most amazing one!) so these little cupcakes had big shoes to fill. Everyone seemed to enjoy them so I highly recommend this recipe!

Now that they're all sent out, I can show you pictures of the Save the Date notices I made for my sister's wedding. I had every intention of making the Fortune Cookie dough, cutting the circles and baking them until I read somewhere that commercial cookes will begin to soften and open up if you pop them in the microwave. Sure enough, they opened right up, easy as pie!

Awh, who wouldn't love a face like that?! Meet Kato, my sister's Boxer. Isn't he a sweetie? They bought him from a rescue league and soon after they brought him home, figured out that he had distemper. He was a lucky surviver although he suffers from mental ticks and seizures. Poor puppy. :( You should have seen him and Zefram playing though, silly dogs.

One of my dearest friend's birthday is on Wednesday and I've been trying to figure out what to get her. I didn't want to get her anything that would just collect dust on a shelf somewhere and she's really minimal as far as clothes and jewelry goes. Decided to go with something that I know that I really enjoy, yummy tea from Herb and Ginger. Went with tubes of the Peach-icot, Summer Mango and Hyper Energy (since she's a new mommy!). Tied it all together with the super cute Strawberry Tea Infuser. Hope she likes it!

I bought this adorable little curtain thingy sometime last year with every intention to cut it up and make a purse out of it. I came upon it again a couple days ago and realized it was perfect just how it was! I think we're going to theme our extra bathroom around it. Maybe a red/navy blue/tan color scheme?

Finally got around to adding some origami paper cut outs to the thrifted shadow box I bought years ago. What a pain in the ass that was to spray paint! My collection of cute little things is coming around slowly but surely. I bought the little Toaster Man, Ninja and Shaker Guy while in Chicago. I love little cute things!

We went camping with our good friend Andy this weekend and other than the fact that it was kinda cold, the weekend was perfect. Zefram had a blast hanging out with Chile all weekend. I hadn't been camping since Europe in 2000 so I definitely was looking forward to it all. Can you believe Jim's never been camping? There's nothing like sleeping in a tent and waking up to cook over a campfire. Good stuff. Check out the pics of us camping on Flickr.

This week is going to be absolutely crazy. My Mom's getting married again in the church on Friday and although religion isn't exactly our thing, it matters to her so we're super happy for them. It'll be fun to have my sisters and brothers-in-law in town. My younger sister is bringing her new Boxer, Kato, with them from Houston. Zefram's going to be so excited about making another friend!

My Mom's getting married by the Church next Friday and wanted us all to wear Spring-y dresses. Luckily I found a really cute and good fitting dress (for only 25 bucks!) but only have black pumps to wear with it. The dress is white with big blue and teal flowers that are outlined in black. There's definitely not a lot of black on the dress so I'm planning on making this in order to make it all match a bit more. What do you think?
