Kick A** Case
Ok, ok, I know that with all the different portable music devices out on the market, there's less and less of a need for CD cases. That is exactly why when I realized I needed a CD case to hold the music for my kickboxing class, I decided to make instead of buy one. With just a few adjustments you can easily change this tutorial to work with a photo album or journal. Enjoy!

Materials Needed:
· Old CD case
· Craft felt (2 colors)
. Interfacing

· Black bias tape
· Sewing Materials
· Template

Preparation:

Vinyl Cut-Out:
1. Print, resize and cut stencil.

2. Cut (2) 4.25 x 5.25 and (1) 12.5 x 5.25 rectangles from coordinating felt color. You may have to adjust the measurements to account for the particular size of your CD holder. Cut matching interfacing (you might want to double up to increase stability) and iron in place.
3. Carefully sew the outer edge of your image to the case front. Try to get as close to the edge as possible to prevent any curling up or ripping of the applique.
4. Sew the two flaps to the back side of the front.
5. Flip cover around and sew a small piece of the fuzzy side of hook and loop tape right along the outer edge.
6. Attach bias tape along outside of cover, making sure to sew all edges together.
7. Cut a 2.5" long piece from you hook and lope tape, use your zigzag stitch to attach to edge.
8. Slide CD case into place and...
9. You've just made you very own case! Good for you...now you have no excuse not to work out!
