We’ve come to the last project of Dia de los Muertos Week! I hope you all enjoyed the week as much as I did and have tons of fun crafty ideas to celebrate Day of the Dead. Today’s project is really easy to make and appeals to children of all ages. Because felt sticks to felt, you can enjoy decorating your Calavera (skull) year after year. ¡Viva Dia de los Muertos!

White Felt Skull (I found mine at The Dollar Tree but you can always cut out your own)
Various Colors Felt Sheets
3. Use spray adhesive to attach the white skull to the black background. Definitely do this outside, that spray adhesive gets everywhere!
3. Cut out different colored shapes with the Free Printable and a pair of sharp scissors. This is the most time consuming part of this project. Keep in mind, you don’t have to cut every shape out of every color and that like all tedious work, this part is so much more enjoyable while watching a good movie!
4. And that’s it! Just hang it up and enjoy! I’ll probably keep the felt pieces out until the end of the season and then store them in a little baggie on the back of the frame. That is if the kids stop playing with it enough for me to put away!
I love watching their little fingers putting the shapes on. Yay for fine motor skills! :D
Thanks again for joining us for Tried & True’s Dia de los Muertos Week! Just in case you missed any, here’s the list of projects from this last week and previous years:
