Personalized Wire Ornaments

Want to make a super special (and reasonable!) gift tag that can also be used as an ornament year after year? Jump over to Crafts Unleashed to check out my Personalized Wire Ornament tutorial. They come together quicker than you would think so if you start now, you can make one for all the important people in your life! :D

Cut-Out Cookie Tutorial

I’m over at Rhythm of the Home Blog sharing my Cut-Out Cookie Tutorial! Jump on over there if you’d like the low-down on how to make these simple but realistic looking cookies. Don’t you think they’d make a perfect gift when paired with a jar of homemade jam or any other tasty treat?

Had a few extra stars left over that Jack didn’t want to paint so I got to play around a bit. Whew! My eyes are still strained from concentrating so hard on those tiny 1 1/2 inch ornaments. Was trying to go with a simple Scandinavian folk art design but it’s hard to see anything when it’s that small!

Monolith Ornament

Another super easy ornament, this time from the Science Fiction classic, 2001. At first, Jim suggested hanging a little fetus ornament but I vetoed that on account of the creepy factor. The monolith was a much better candidate for our tree…that is unless it makes all the monkeys in the room go crazy or anything! :D

Robot Ornaments

Whipped up a few robot ornaments to match with our Retro Space Age stockings (have you downloaded the free patterns yet?!). They were so super easy to make and if your husband is as much of a pack rat as mine, you’ll have all the supplies in the garage. Just make sure you use a strong glue, wouldn’t want random little bolts falling everywhere, especially if you’ve got a little one crawling all over the floor like I do.

Keep checking back here for more crazy science fiction ornaments…if you’re into that kinda stuff, of course…but really who doesn’t love a little robot or space travel?!  Not judging, just saying. :D I’ve got all kinds of fun geeky projects planned (you can see some hints on my Facebook page)!
